Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Field Safety Coordinator to support commercial construction safety operations and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, and company safety policies.

This is a 100% on-site, field-based position requiring daily presence on active construction jobsites. A strong field presence is essential to provide real-time safety oversight, conduct inspections, lead training, and support continuous improvement across all phases of construction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor daily commercial construction jobsite activities to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; recommend, implement, and track corrective actions
Support Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews in developing safety-conscious work practices
Assist with pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs)
Respond to incidents, near misses, and injuries; coordinate injury care per company protocols
Participate in and support incident investigations and root cause analysis
Lead and assist with toolbox talks, safety orientations, onboarding, and site-specific safety training
Ensure proper availability, use, and condition of PPE, safety equipment, and first aid supplies
Participate in jobsite safety walks with internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners
Serve as a field resource for OSHA compliance, regulatory requirements, and company safety programs
Maintain accurate documentation including inspection reports, incident reports, training records, permits, and corrective action logs
Collaborate with the HSE Manager and Safety Director to support continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of safety experience in commercial construction or industrial environments
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard control
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field preferred
Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Ability to work independently in a field-based construction environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to train, coach, and influence field personnel
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must pass a background check and drug screen
