Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Field Safety Coordinator to support commercial construction safety operations and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, and company safety policies.

This is a 100% on-site, field-based position requiring daily presence on active construction jobsites. A strong field presence is essential to provide real-time safety oversight, conduct inspections, lead training, and support continuous improvement across all phases of construction.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily commercial construction jobsite activities to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
  • Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors; recommend, implement, and track corrective actions
  • Support Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews in developing safety-conscious work practices
  • Assist with pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs)
  • Respond to incidents, near misses, and injuries; coordinate injury care per company protocols
  • Participate in and support incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Lead and assist with toolbox talks, safety orientations, onboarding, and site-specific safety training
  • Ensure proper availability, use, and condition of PPE, safety equipment, and first aid supplies
  • Participate in jobsite safety walks with internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners
  • Serve as a field resource for OSHA compliance, regulatory requirements, and company safety programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation including inspection reports, incident reports, training records, permits, and corrective action logs
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager and Safety Director to support continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of safety experience in commercial construction or industrial environments
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard control
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field preferred
  • Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based construction environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and influence field personnel
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
